A brief history of Shindogo:
Shindogo is essentially an evolution of multiple bands that Jack and Michael had proposed with many different people, and of varying styles, since some time during 2004. However, it was not until the invitation was put to a young (and probably lonely) Alex Jarvis, that things really started going. The band began by composing and playing many purely instrumental pieces of drastically differing styles during the first year since its birth.
Then in November 2006, the band suddenly realised that they really had no reason as to why they had not begun singing yet, and so buckled down and ended up writing somewhat primitive versions of the songs Comfort in Trees, Absence and Blue Skies.
Soon after this, Ian was invited into the band in order to fill the many gaps that were frequently appearing in songs. He did so brilliantly, as with his smooth (usually acoustic) backing guitar, songs were given a richer, much more complete overall sound, therefore enabling Michael to add the occasional solo for fun. To date the band have written 5 songs since Ian’s addition to the band: Midday Euphoria, Beautiful Inside, Mary-Anne, It’s Not Me It’s You and Swither.
